Day 27: Edge of Nebraska to South Platte River (just past Ogallala)

Is it ironic that the day we get rolling earliest is the day we do the least riding? Yes, kind of. Do I mind? Not at all.
We're here camped on the side of the South Platte River, and it is gorgeous. There are birds' nests all along the bridge and the weather is great. Earlier in the day we rode about 30 miles, which included a stop at the grocery store as well as the laundromat, as we were out of clean clothes. After doing our laundry, we decided that clean clothes deserved clean bodies, so we took the first road up to the river that we could find. It turns out that there's a good place to sleep here, so we just stayed and took a semi-rest day.

Later in the evening was feeding time for the birds, it was wild to watch.
